Several people have assisted with this site. I would especially
like to thank Franca Leeson - lookagain.ca - for the initial
inspiration and help with many practical details.
Thanks to Vibodha Clark at Uplift design - upliftdesign.com - for additional design and web hosting.
Thanks to the wonderful people at Friendsoftheheart.com.
I have linked several articles on this site. This is the web
home of Lama Catherine (Lama Jetsun Yeshe) who introduced
me to the teaching so many years ago, and has been such an
inspiration ever since.
Thanks to Ken McLeod for permission to provide links to several
articles on his great site - unfetteredmind.org.
Thank you to my many teachers, but above all Lama Catherine,
Namgyal Rinpoche, and ShantiMayi.
I owe an unrepayable debt to many of the other teachers with whom I have had the good fortune to study.
Through Namgyal Rinpoche I met Lama Chime, and in 1980 I
moved to Perth to study with him. A group of us under the
direction of Lama Chime built the Origins Retreat and Study
Centre at Balingup, Western Australia. Many of us also worked
with Lama Chime in the collaborative sculpture studio Shaping WA, doing some
installation contracts, and much dharma exploration through
working with form.
I have studied and attended meditation retreats with many
other lamas in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism,
including (just some of the really significant teachers) Bero Chyentse Rinpoche, Bonnie Ross, Cecily Kwiat,
Tarchin Hearn, and Lama Ole Nuydahl. More recently, I have
studied in other meditation traditions with teachers such
as Balayogi Maharaj and ShantiMayi.
Finally, thank you to my students who always teach me in
unexpected ways :-)
