Feedback on one-on-one sessions
Mum says many positive things about her time with you and I am very grateful that you are able to help her.
Thank you very much for your kind listening. A balm to the heart! Much gratitude.
I would like to thank you for your kind support and attention. I am profoundly touched by some of our discussions. The process is very new (and sometimes difficult) to me as I am not used to talk about myself, and share very personal feelings. Beyond my personal issues, the teachings (counseling with you but also the meditation) resonates deeply in me, as a gentle invitation to experience life differently, and feel more alive.
I'm pleased to say I am doing very well and can't thank you enough for your help. I would not even begin to suggest that I have resolved all of my issues. But my heart is undoubtedly beginning to open again.
This is most clearly evident in my relationship with (my partner) and the ever growing love I feel for her. For the first time ever in an established relationship I can really see a future. In the past I always had the feeling that the relationship was nice but would have to end and this has been a recurrent theme in all my relationships. Its so beautiful to be able to give my love more fully again.
With much love and gratitude…
Feedback on courses
So insightful. Mana is very knowledgeable, but doesn't 'preach' as such. Mana just 'suggests' or provides information to help you discover for yourself. Very honest with answers. Great course, thank you very much!

I would recommend the course because I have enjoyed it and I think people can benefit from having an understanding of meditation. I found that the more I learned the more I realised there was to learn. I really enjoyed the insight into what meditation can do for me.

It's a great place to begin your meditation experience. Mana has a way of explaining things/ talking through things that make you feel at ease. I have already learned a lot and am definitely encouraged to keep my practice going beyond the class. I hope to

I think it is something everyone should do.
Meeting with Mana on a regular basis has opened a whole new awareness for me about following a spiritual path. I have sat with Mana in a number of courses and would recommend them to anyone.

I feel that the layout and practical content of the course can help many to uncover and understand their inner workings of their mind and heart. And then on to greater things. It is a safe, gentle and uplifting space.

I would recommend this course - it was a beautiful time that I looked forward to each week. It showed me that I can find some things I nearly forgot in me, like my heart of space. It opened doorways to being more present in my life. Sometimes it was challenging but life enhancing. It was a very supportive class, talking about experiences and being listened to with genuine interest from Mana and the other participants. Sharing experiences in a like minded and also diverse group and seeing the honest dedication of all was nice.

I would recommend this course to a friend, or anyone. The reasons being: straightforward practice to calming our busy minds and help enable us to love our days with some mindfulness, a great beginning to start a spiritual life, connect to ourselves and our daily life, energising our mind/ heart/ spirit.

The active imagination work has opened for me a greater understanding of my own behaviour, and that awareness alone has developed into a greater state of calm. I now have a way of working with my moods and other aspects of my personality (masks) that have been causing issues in my life.
I liked the very open discussions, and the pace of them – and, above all, the ability of Mana to use the exact word – many times, one single word (such as ‘still’ tonight) just opened the right door for me and led me to interesting discoveries.
During the course I also found a kind of confidence in my path and personal evolution – real confidence, thank you very much for that. The course gave me a new ‘technique’ of active imagination that I use now on a regular basis.
Things I liked about the course include discovering a new view on what relationships are (projections), approaching ‘emptiness’ from an apparently totally different perspective
and learning new techniques – Gestalt work and active imagination.
I discovered a ‘new’ aspect of myself,
also experiencing transformation of an apparently scary, dark feeling into something much more alive and radiant.
I have much enjoyed the classes so far, it is a weekly pleasure
and inspiration. Thank you very much for your advice and guidance
in the sessions, and for taking the time to ask after me.
I look forward to Thursday.
Meditation is something I've always been interested in, but not quite able to grasp. Now that I am not trying to 'grasp' or chase some amazing unknown I am finding meditation to be simple, relaxing and sometimes beautiful - including the painful parts which at least I am now in touch with.
So, my adopted brother, I am indeed happy our paths have connected and wish you well always.

I'm very happy that you are guiding the meditation group
at the WA School of Yoga. Having participated with this
group since its inception, I have gained a deeper awareness
of my self and the connections between my Self and the world.
That is, improved spiritual well-being. The meditation
has enhanced the tapestry of my being especially in the largest
part of my life... the yoga practice and teaching.

My English writing is not very good… I feel very lucky
to have come in conatact with you and your teachings. From
the teachings I get a lot. They give me a deeper understanding
and awareness. Like getting more pieces of the puzzle of true
knowledge into place. It makes me realise even more that this
is what I’m here for, and inspires me to go deeper.
You have a very clear and pleasant way of explaining things,
and give everyone the chance to participate. Even when I sometimes
get there very tired and have had a bad day, I feel energised
and inspired again after the class.
Your pleasant, loving presence and helping, caring character
make you a wonderful teacher. I hope to be your student for
a long time, where ever I may be.
I have discovered considerable benefits in my daily life
since joining the Shenton Park meditation group two
years ago. The most notable changes I have
found include greater clarity of mind, a sense of calmness,
and an improved ability to manage stress. My relationships with
others and overall approach to life also seem more positive.
Mana (Chotan) has introduced me to a number of meditation
approaches and techniques. I enjoy his creative
and open approach to teaching meditation, as well as
the wealth of knowledge and experience he has to offer. I
also appreciate the compassion that exists within our group,
allowing me to freely ask questions and further explore
issues that arise in my practice or regarding the dharma.
I have been meditating with Mana Waite for three years.
Mana’s approach to students is both respectful and open.
He has a wealth of knowledge on meditation which he uses to
individually tailor personal practices for students, and individually
answer questions they may have.
Meditating with Mana has led me to develop a daily meditation
practice which has resulted in my becoming calmer and less
It has also resulted in some unexpected but positive changes
in my life. I have become more engaged in life, more
connected to nature and more self caring.
As a result, my daily practice has become an important part
of my life.
I really get a lot from class and am continually impressed
by your presence.
Feedback on retreats
It was a very moving retreat, everyone was so generous and open and I think a deep experience for all. Thank you.
The weekend retreat has been wonderful. It has helped assure me of the importance of keeping the openness and emptiness alive within myself. It has been interesting to explore the amount of effort and effortlessness that arises during meditation and day to day activities. Your help, wise words and friendship are very much appreciated.
Thank you for a great retreat. It was wonderful to learn so many
different types of meditation, and I found it to be very insightful.
Your guidance was really helpful and opened me up to many new ways of
looking at and experiencing mindfulness. Thank you. Peace.
Grateful in the beginning to have a safe, nurturing space to retreat to in the inner city.
Grateful in the middle to have access to a skilful, creative and compassionate teacher such as Mana to guide me through meditation practices that at times can be somewhat challenging.
Grateful in the end to return to my everyday life after retreat knowing that I can rely on the kind support of the teacher (Mana) and with the teacher’s encouragement, know that the possibility of support from the Sangha (friends on the path) is also available.
The preciousness of these jewels are presently alive within my being, and for that I am truly GRATEFUL.
After the retreat, today feels much more mellow and a lot less discursive energy in my head. There seems to be a softness in my heart. and I am not afraid of hearing what people, my spouse included, have to say. Thanks again for your listening and your advice.
I just wanted to thank you for the meditation course - I really did get a lot out of it and have had many self-realisations in meditation.
The main benefit I got from the retreat was understanding that the teachings will fulfill my desire for a path to step out. This stepping process I know will give me strength in life.
In regards to the mini retreat, I found it most enjoyable. It was nice see how the work can be richly and diversely engrained right throughout the day and not just confined to sitting and meditating. As always I was impressed by the quality and the depth of the teachings and the positive effects they never fail to have on my being.
During these retreats Mana's expert advice and guidance has enabled me to deepen, and explore more fully within my meditation practice. Along with my normal meditation practice these retreats have resulted in life in general becoming more meaningful and joyful.
Mana's instructions provide for a number of meditation approaches and techniques. The dharma work is not at all arduous during these retreats despite reasonably long days of meditation, walking meditation and Dharma talks.
